Who we are
GrokSMM is a digital marketing agency owned and operated by Praveen Dadhich (“GrokSMM”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and website.
- Enquiry and project information, such as your goals, budget and anything you tell us about your business.
- Account access and campaign data when you engage us, such as access to your ad, analytics and CRM accounts and the performance data in them.
- Website usage data, such as pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
- Billing information needed to invoice you. We do not store full card numbers.
How we collect it
We collect personal information when you fill in a form on our website, email or message us, speak with us on a call, become a client, or browse our website. We may also receive information from ad platforms and tools you connect us to.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and arrange strategy calls.
- To provide, manage and report on our services.
- To send invoices and manage our client relationship.
- To improve our website and services.
- To send marketing emails, if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
- To meet our legal obligations.
Cookies and advertising technology
Our website may use cookies and tags from services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and show advertising. These services may collect information about your visit and use it under their own privacy policies. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts and some photographs from Wikimedia Commons.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation through your Google and Meta account settings.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us run our business (such as email, messaging, file storage, video-call, accounting and project-management providers), advertising and analytics platforms when needed to run campaigns you have engaged us for, and professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our team members and contractors work outside Australia, including in India, and some of our service providers store data overseas (for example in the United States). Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the APPs.
Storage and security
We store personal information in secure, access-controlled systems and limit access to people who need it. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
